Inclement Weather

When school is delayed or canceled, LBA will email all current families, typically by 6am. When school is canceled, beforecare, aftercare, preschool, and all extra-curricular activities are also canceled.

LBA will also post delays and cancellations to the school website and Facebook page and notify the following TV and sister stations:

Channel 5 (WLW)
Channel 9 (WCPO)
Channel 12 (WKRC)
Channel 19 (WXIX)
Channel 64 (WSTR)
Cincinnati.com

Because LBA is located in Mason City School District, their decision (as well as those of Kings and Lakota, which also provide bus transportation to LBA) is often a major factor in LBA's decision to delay or cancel.

Delay Schedule

If school is delayed, the following details will apply:

North Campus (Preschool and Kindergarten)

Staff report at 10am.
Beforecare is canceled.
Half-Day Preschool is canceled.
Full-Day Preschool starts at 10:30am, students may report as early as 10am as needed.
Kindergarten starts at 10:15am, students may report as early as 10am as needed.
Dismissal times do not change.

Main Campus (Grades 1-12)

Staff report at 9:30am.
Grades 1-6 start at 10am.
Grades 7-12 start at 9:50am.
Dismissal times do not change.
