Development - Ways to Give

Cash

Cash gifts—the most popular and convenient way of supporting LBA—are essential to the operation of our school.  They are fully tax-deductible (for those who itemize) and provide the added benefit of having an immediate impact on the school and students.  Checks may be sent to:

Liberty Bible Academy
Development Office
4900 Old Irwin-Simpson Road
Mason, OH 45040

Credit Cards

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Click here to make an online gift, or call the school at 513-754-1234.

Recurring Payments

You can make your gift to LBA in smaller increments on a monthly or other periodic basis by making recurring payments. We will charge your card accordingly for the amount and time period of your choice. For more information contact us at 513-754-1234.

Securities

If you hold securities that would result in a long-term capital gain if sold, you can make an outright gift to LBA and realize substantial savings on capital gains tax on the appreciation. Thus, the actual cost to you as a donor is often far less than the value of your gift to the school. It is recommended that you consult with your tax advisor to discuss the most current IRS rules and regulations.

Bequests

A gift of cash or property made through a will or living trust ensures a tradition of giving that will continue after the donor’s lifetime.  Liberty Bible Academy can be named as a beneficiary of an estate, as the recipient of a stated dollar sum, or as a residuary beneficiary.

Life Insurance

Life insurance can provide the opportunity to make a substantial gift.  A policy that is no longer required for its original purpose may be transferred to LBA.  New policies naming LBA as beneficiary may be developed as long-term planned giving.

Remainder Trust & Annuities

Charitable Remainder Trusts and Annuities are income plans that allow the donor to make a gift while retaining the income for his or her lifetime (or a term of years) or for the lifetime of a named beneficiary.

Charitable Lead Trusts

Charitable Lead Trusts are plans that allow the donor to make a gift of interest earned from assets for a fixed number of years.  Later, the principal will go back to the donor or beneficiary.  This gift works well if you do not need current income and want the assets to go to a beneficiary.

Real Estate

Donations of tangible property and real estate may be of great value to Liberty BibleAcademy.  Consultation with us is recommended to ensure the usefulness of such gifts.

Matching Gift Programs

Many corporations have matching gift programs that may multiply the value of gifts from their employees, officers, retirees, and spouses.  Please see our section on matching gifts to determine if your employer participates.
